Great representation of present & past club members at the British Team Trials

This weekend’s British Athletics Team trials saw 9 current & 17 alumni club athletes taking part. Adele Nicholl, even nursing an injury was able to take 5th place in the shot put final.  Hannah Johnson was 7th in the women’s javelin final and Jon Hopkins 9th in the 3000m steeplechase final.

There was a good success amongst our alumni students with a total of 4 medals; Charlotte Arter 5000m bronze, Brett Morse Discus bronze, Ieuan Thomas 3000m SC bronze & Becca Chapman long jump silver. Becca’s brilliant 6.54m last round jump was also a Welsh Senior National record and Commonwealth Games qualifier, congratulations to her and the support team.
